ATLANTA--Associated Press writer David Goldberg put his foot down on Wednesday night and refused to write a recap of a Hawks-Nets game which took place earlier that evening. “I can’t do it. I just can’t do it,” said Goldberg, slamming the lid shut on his laptop. “I cannot write another recap of another inconsequential, nothing game between two teams nobody cares about. I mean, what angle can I use to make this interesting? What should I use for my opening sentence? Here’s what I wrote so far: ‘Jamal Crawford scored 29 points as the Hawks snapped a four-game losing streak to beat the Hawks.’ That’s it. And that’s all I’m writing. Somebody else is going to have to do this one. Is there anything new on the Gilbert Arenas story? I’d like to write more about that.”
