ORLANDO, FL--Tiger Woods’s career suffered a setback yesterday as yet another long time ally abandoned him for greener pastures. This time it was his beloved Nike Forged Blade 9-iron, a perennial partner that has resided in his golf bag for the past ten years. “I just thought it was time to move on,” the 9-iron said. “It’s been a great ten years and I will cherish those memories forever, but there comes a time in every golf club’s life when you have to assess where you are and maybe make some changes. Will we work together again in the future? Who knows? The bottom line is I’m moving forward now and I know Tiger will do the same thing. I’m sure he’ll find another 9-iron to replace me. Hopefully it will not be used to, you know, smash the window of his SUV.” Woods released a statement thanking the 9-iron for its years of service and insisting that the separation was mutual.
