NASHVILLE, TN--Late in the fourth quarter of a game between the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans, officials decided to stop play and review a call that neither team had a problem with in the first place. The play was a sideline catch by Bills receiver Lee Evans with :59 seconds left to play in a 41-17 contest. “We are reviewing the previous play,” referee Mike Carey announced. “Even though the game is over and nobody really gives a crap and the play wasn’t even that disputable, the replay booth wants me to make sure he had both feet in bounds and didn’t bobble the ball slightly. It’s very important that we do this. Please just be patient while we waste everybody’s time.”
Moments later, Carey reviewed the Titans final play to ensure that the ball didn't come loose while the quarterback was taking a knee.
