NEW YORK--Outfielder Johnny Damon still hasn’t found a home this offseason but his agent, Scott Boras, isn’t budging from his demand for a 10-year deal for his 36-year-old client. “Johnny Damon is a unique talent that can play at a very high level for at least 10 more years,” said Boras. “He’s a great athlete, he’s an even better hitter than he was two years ago, his defense has improved and I believe he is right up there with Albert Pujols and other great hitters of his generation. Whoever ponies up a 10-year, $100 million deal for Johnny will be very happy with the bargain they got. We’ll just sit here and wait it out.” According to the New York Post, Boras is currently hammering out the details of a one-year, $1.5 million deal with the Milwaukee Brewers.
