STILLWATER, OK--Oklahoma State safety Ron Brackett, known for his tendency to play with reckless abandon, was carted off the field on Saturday for the third season in a row. Brackett reportedly has a neck injury and will miss the rest of the year. Said Cowboys coach Mike Gundy: “Ron plays all out all the time. He truly plays with reckless abandon on every play. That’s why we love him. And that’s why he’s out for the season again. He rammed head-first into a pile of players and injured his neck. Again. Isn’t that something? You gotta love that kid. I’m sure if he ever walks again, he’ll walk with reckless abandon.” Gundy then asked the rest of his players to play with "something slightly less" than reckless abandon.
