Report: Kiffin Trying To Lure Every Tennessee Student To USC |
January 13, 2010 |
KNOXVILLE, TN--According to a report in the Knoxville News Sentinel, newly-hired USC coach Lane Kiffin is attempting to convince every student at the University of Tennessee to leave school and enroll in the University of Southern California. The report quotes a source as saying that Kiffin’s recruiting coordinator, Ed Orgeron, was “burning up the phone lines” trying to lure the nearly 28,000 students away from Knoxville. “Orgeron has been burning up the phone lines all day trying to get kids to leave Tennessee,” said a university source. “Not just football recruits mind you, but all the students. Every one. I mean, I guess that is kind of flattering, but I don't think the students will take it that way. It’s more likely they’ll burn him in effigy and take a shit on his front doorstep, like I did.”
