NEW YORK--Fans at today’s Mets-Reds game at Citifield were horrified to see a child from the Make-a-Wish foundation tasered by security guards while throwing out the first pitch. Guards said they thought the boy, 10-year-old Timmy Hepner, was a threat to the safety of the players. “We didn’t know he was from Make-a-Wish,” said security guard Daniel Silva. “We didn't know who he was. He could have been a terrorist, he could have been some psycho bent on stabbing the catcher, he could have been anything. In this day and age you never know. In fact, I would do it again if I had the chance. I still don't trust that kid.” The head of security for Citifield, Victor Insley, said his guards “acted appropriately” and congratulated them for their courage and poise.
